The Bow Wood Charity refers to land at Bow Wood Wendover, which was founded by Edmund Waller under his Will of 30th August 1699 to fund the distribution of bread to poor not receiving alms in the Parish of Beaconsfield. Clowberrys Charity was founded by the Will of Henry Clowberry dated 20th March 1664 that the income from land at Penn should be used to pay the Minister of Beaconsfield for a sermon to be preached on New Years Day in every year and the remainder to be distribution in bread to the poor of Beaconsfield on the same day.
